Drone Pasture and Weed Spraying Services
Pasture weed spraying with a drone allows herbicide to be applied efficiently across grazing land, paddocks, hillsides and difficult-access country — controlling weeds that compete with pasture without the need for ground equipment on rough or sloping terrain.
Pasture Weed Control for Grazing Land
Weeds in grazing land reduce pasture productivity, crowd out desirable grasses and can create problems for stock movement and mustering. Drone spraying provides an efficient way to treat weeds across paddocks without driving equipment across the pasture or waiting for ground conditions to improve.
Aerial application is well suited to cattle properties, hobby farms and rural lifestyle blocks throughout South East Queensland where pasture weeds are a recurring management issue.
Common Pasture Weeds
Pasture weeds treated with aerial application can include broadleaf weeds, woody weeds and invasive species. The specific product and application rate must be appropriate for the target weed and the pasture situation, and must comply with the product label.
For specific weeds such as lantana, see our lantana drone spraying page. For broader weed and vegetation management, see aerial weed spraying.
Spraying Hillsides, Gullies and Fence Lines
Weeds often establish on the parts of a property that are hardest to reach — hillsides, gullies, creek lines and along fence lines. These areas are difficult to treat with a boom spray or quad bike and slow to cover on foot.
A drone can treat these areas efficiently because it flies above the terrain. Read more about drone spraying for steep and difficult terrain.
Stock and Pasture Considerations
Any grazing restraints, withholding periods or re-entry requirements depend on the product used and must be confirmed against the product label. We recommend discussing stock management before the job so the correct periods are observed.
Applications are subject to site assessment, applicable product labels, weather conditions and regulatory requirements.
