Drone Spraying in the Scenic Rim, South East Queensland
Application by Drone provides agricultural drone spraying, aerial weed spraying and lantana control throughout the Scenic Rim. The steep, hilly and timbered country common to this region makes aerial application a practical choice for landholders managing weeds and pasture.
Drone Spraying for Scenic Rim Properties
The Scenic Rim takes its name from the arc of mountain ranges — the McPherson Range, Main Range and the Border Ranges — that define this region. The country is largely volcanic basalt, producing steep ridges, deep gullies and timbered slopes that are difficult to access with ground equipment. Properties here range from open grazing paddocks on the ridges to steep, timbered gullies where lantana and woody weeds establish dense infestations.
Drone spraying is well suited to the Scenic Rim because the drone flies above the terrain. Pasture weed spraying, lantana control and targeted herbicide application can be carried out on steep and difficult-access country without the risk and effort of ground equipment.
Common Weed and Terrain Challenges
Landholders in the Scenic Rim commonly deal with lantana on steep hillsides, pasture weeds in grazing country, weeds along creek lines and gullies, and difficult-access regrowth in timbered areas. These are exactly the situations where drone spraying provides the greatest advantage.
